DAVE PETERSON - PRESIDENT & CO-FOUNDER.
Dave is the President and Co-founder of ‘Prosperity Party New Zealand’. A relative newcomer to the political arena, Dave has extensive experience in media, having worked many years in advertising. He has owned and run two businesses, one previously in computer distribution and his current company that deals in hard wooden flooring, sanding and refurbishing. His previous work includes being a major contributor to the installation of computers in the justice system as Project Manager back in early 2000.
One of his biggest achievements was playing representative hockey for Auckland and North Harbour, and being selected for New Zealand to play for an international tour, after being part of the Olympic team in 1984.
Dave holds a license as a Trainer and owner in the harness racing industry and has experience as an amateur driver. He has trained, driven and owned several racehorses in the past 10 years.
Born in Auckland, he has spent his entire life in the region and currently resides in the Helensville electorate with his wife and horses on a 9-acre property.
Father of 2 boys and stepfather of 3, Dave enjoys fishing, horse racing, stock cars and spending time with his family.
Dave has a strong interest and understanding of the racing industry, along with issues affecting the roading infrastructure in and around Auckland.
His involvement in the party comes from a genuine belief that things could be a lot better for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
